The International Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan will present a webinar on “Customs Entry and the Role of the Customs Broker” Thursday, September 21, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.
Licensed Customs Broker Michelle Small will give an insight into the import process: agreements between international parties, responsibilities, tariffs—in short take-aways and tips to avoid risk, delays, and additional fees.
Small started her international freight career at the cargo division of Lufthansa Cargo. After many years in the international freight forwarding industry, she realized there was a need for a company specializing in the needs of small businesses and individuals importing into the U.S. In 2016, she started FrontWest LLC—a trade compliance firm—with the goal of assisting companies to
streamline their import processes.
