'Marihuana-Impaired Driving Case' examined
The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan will present the Traffic Safety Training Program Webinar "Investigating and Trying a Marihuana-Impaired Driving Case" on Friday, December 8, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.
Marihuana-impaired driving cases can be some of the most challenging cases to try. From public perceptions that marihuana is not as bad as alcohol to aggressive OWI defense attorneys, there are many obstacles a prosecutor will need to overcome.
In this session, Marquette County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Hailey Kimball-Dexter and DRE-trained Trooper Aaron Griffin will discuss ways to overcome some of these obstacles. They will discuss some marihuana-impaired driving cases they worked on together and discuss the importance of collaboration and preparation on these cases.

Anyone with questions or in need of any assistance registering for the webinar should contact Amy Gronowski at gronowskia@michigan.gov or at 517-643-2114.
