‘Direct Victim Needs Training’ conducted online

The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan will host an online “Direct Victim Needs Training” Thursday, February 22, from 2 to 3 p.m. via Zoom.

This hour-long training will cover guidelines for using victim rights grant Client Assistance-All Other budget category. The training will review what the funds can be used for, how to determine whether to apply for compensation or access a program’s Direct Victim Needs fund, and the specific parameters related to utilizing these funds including gift and/or gas cards. MDHHS-DVS Grant manager Megan Mezel will review details and field any questions regarding the Direct Victim Needs fund that offices may have.

This training presentation is intended for prosecutors office personnel including victim advocates, administrative staff and prosecutors as well as county personnel who work on the victims rights grants administered by the MDHHS-DVS.
