Oakland County Clerk/Register brings services to Holly, Lyon, Orion via local office visits

Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds Lisa Brown is bringing the services of her office to communities across the county this spring. The upcoming Local Office Visits (LOVs) will be held on the following dates from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Most transactions that people conduct with the County Clerk/Register of Deeds Office will be available.

• Holly Township Library, Tuesday, March 19, 1116 N. Saginaw St., Holly

• Lyon Township Public Library, Tuesday, April 16, 27005 Milford Rd., South Lyon

• Orion Municipal Complex, Tuesday, May 21, 2323 Joslyn Rd., Lake Orion

“Our Local Office Visits have proven to be a convenient way for county residents to get the services they need,” said Brown. “Whether you visit our main office in Pontiac, our satellite office in Troy, a LOV near you, or access our online services, my goal is to ensure accessibility to my office’s services for all county residents.”

At all Local Office Visits residents can:

• Apply for a Concealed Pistol License (CPL)
• Apply for a marriage license
• Apply to become a Notary Public
• File a military discharge record
• Get a free Veterans ID card
• Register or renew a business name
• Obtain copies of:
   - Birth, death and marriage certificates
   - Oakland County Circuit Court documents
   - Property records (mortgages, deeds, liens, etc.)

Details are also available online for identification requirements and fees, which are the same as those in the office. Many services are also available on the website.
