‘2024 Employment Law Year’ in Review’ offered online by OCBA

The Employment Law Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association will present a “2024 Employment Law Year in Review” online Tuesday, June 11, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. via Zoom.

The Employment Law Committee will delve into the significant advancements within the field over the past year. This year's webinar features discussions on topics including major National Labor Relations Board rulings and legal updates, the intricacies of employee handbooks, and the evolving landscape surrounding non-compete agreements.

Attendees will be able to:

• Evaluate the benefits of implementing an employee handbook and outline its essential components

• Assess the implications of the recent amendments to Michigan law concerning non-compete agreements

• Stay informed about the current state of employment law with comprehensive updates on recent case law and NLRB decisions

Speaking at the webinar will be Daniel A. Klemptner, chief of Labor and Employee Relations, Oakland County Government; John F. Marsh, Bailey Cavalieri LLC; and moderator Lindsey R. Johnson, Schenk & Bruetsch PLC.
