Wayne County Circuit Court Chief Judge Patricia Fresard (right) delivered the annual State of the Court address May 1, coinciding with the traditional Law Day observance, the nationwide celebration of the rule of law in a free society. Detroit Bar Association President Zenell Brown (left) was among those on hand for Fresard’s address, in which she provided an update on the judicial work of the Wayne County Circuit Court that she has headed since January 2023. In addition to her Detroit Bar leadership responsibilities, Brown serves as Region 1 Administrator for the State Court Administrative Office, serving as the liaison to Wayne County’s 26 trial courts.
