‘Election Law and Procedure Webinar’ offered by MJI

The Michigan Judicial Institute (MJI) will present a “2024 Election Law and Procedure Webinar” Wednesday, July 10, from noon to 1 p.m.

Michigan is anticipated to be a pivotal swing state in the 2024 election. Judges may be called upon to review complex electAion cases expeditiously in light of this.

The webinar’s faculty will review common legal issues arising from elections as well as litigation issues typically raised during the period of elections; the guiding authorities and recent legal changes implicated in responding to these complicated issues; and the manner in which the issues are likely to come before the court.  In addition, the faculty will discuss the relevant law to guide judges in handling potential new areas of litigation that may arise following the 2024 Election.

This program is eligible for continuing judicial education credit.
