The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan will present the Traffic Safety Training Program Webinar “OWI Forfeiture” on Thursday, July 18, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.
Repeated drunk and drugged drivers are a danger to all users of our roadways. OWI forfeiture laws are another tool that prosecutors can use as a deterrent for repeat offenders. The St. Clair County Prosecutor’s Office has had a successful OWI forfeiture program in place since 2009. This webinar will cover how its office was able to effectively implement a successful OWI forfeiture program, best practices, and lessons learned after years of having this program in place. Chief Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Guilliat from the St. Clair County Prosecutor’s Office will lead the webinar.
This course is approved for 1 hour of credit under PAAM’s recommended CLE Best Practice.
