The Michigan Supreme Court is now accepting applications from Michigan attorneys interested in serving on the State Bar of Michigan Board of Commissioners. Applicants must have a law degree from an accredited law school and be members of the State Bar of Michigan.
There are three court-appointed vacancies this year. Commissioners serve three-year terms and will be sworn in September 19.
Interested applicants must submit a resume or CV and consent to a personal background investigation. In lieu of a cover letter, applicants have been asked to respond to the following questions:
• Have you previously served on the State Bar of Michigan Board of Commissioners? If so, when?
• What experience do you have that makes you qualified for this appointment?
• Why do you want to be appointed to the State Bar of Michigan Board of Commissioners?
