Superheroes of Water join everyday heroes Sept. 3 at annual Back to School Rally

Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner Jim Nash and volunteers will welcome students from Herrington and Alcott Elementary schools dressed as superheroes on Tuesday, Sept. 3, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the annual Back to School Rally at Alcott Elementary School, located at 460 West Kennett Road in Pontiac.
The volunteer superheroes will team up with public safety heroes from various fields, including local law enforcement and fire safety to shake hands, encourage, and greet students. On the first day of the new school year, community leaders, elected officials, and community organizations will also join in on the annual event.
As a community partner with schools and the Pontiac School District, this special event exemplifies our mission, and allows us to educate students about water resources, bring cheer, and generate excitement for the first day of school. Special back-to-school educational giveaways will be provided courtesy of Nash.
