Two men guilty on all charges in armed robbery of Warren dispensary

Last Friday, August 30, two men were found guilty as charged by a Macomb County jury after an eight day jury trial by Assistant Prosecutors Jacqueline Gartin and Megan McKeon in connection with a shooting and armed robbery of the Bring Me A Bag dispensary in Warren.

On Friday, June 9, 2023, Detroit resident Lavall Perkins, 64 years-old, and an unidentified suspect caused a disturbance outside of the dispensary. An unidentified suspect shot through the glass door hitting the victim. The unidentified suspect unlocked the door and shot at the victim again as he was retreating. The unidentified suspect and Lavall Perkins entered the store and stole the safe. Both robbers exited the store to a waiting Chevy Tahoe. Michael Graham of Eastpointe, 48 years-old, was driving the Chevy Tahoe and worked at the dispensary.

Lavall Perkins and Michael Graham were both found guilty of Assault with intent to Murder (life felony), Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery (life felony), and Armed Robbery (life felony). Both are habitual third offenders. Perkins and Graham are scheduled to be sentenced by Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Edward Servitto on Wednesday, October 16, at 8:30 a.m.

"These convictions affirm our community's commitment to holding those who commit violent crimes accountable. The jury's decision reflects the strength of the evidence and the courage of the victims who came forward. We hope this verdict brings some measure of closure to those affected by this senseless act of violence," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
