Magistrates’ views explored

The Oakland County Bar Association will present “Arraignments and Other Issues: The Magistrate’s Perspective” as a webinar Tuesday, October 15, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.

This interactive seminar will review arraignments, small-claims hearings, informal hearings, and bond setting. Attendees will hear the magistrate’s perspective to better prepare for court. Additionally, a Q&A session will be featured to address any questions.

Speaking at the webinar will be Oakland County 52-1 District Court Magistrate Michael Bosnic, Oakland County 52-4 District Court Magistrate Elizabeth C. Chiappelli, Oakland County 47th District Court Magistrate Michael E. Sawicky, Oakland County 52-3 District Court Magistrate Marie Soma, and moderator J. Randall Secontine of Law Office of J. Randall Secontine PLLC.

Credit has been approved with the OCBA for 1 Criminal credit and 1 Juvenile credit.

Cost for the webinar is $12 for OCBA members pre-registration and $25 for non-members pre-registration. Oakland County MIDC court appointed attorneys can attend for free.
