Global nonprofit volunteers from Michigan sow the seeds of sustainability

Michigan residents joined hands as dedicated volunteers of the global non-profit organization Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan (DSNDP), undertaking a Tree Plantation Event in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.

The October 12 Tree Conservation/Plantation Event by DSNDP drew more than 10 volunteers at Bald Mountain State Recreation Area in Orion Twp. who persistently worked for 42 volunteer hours to plant 16 native trees, 6ft tall.

Earlier in Michigan, the organization has undertaken 1 program of Tree plantation and conservation involving 22 volunteers who worked for 66 hours to plant 16 trees and collect 345 pounds of garbage, weeds and trash.

Such initiatives are an integral part of DSNDP’s Nationwide Tree Plantation and Conservation Drive, reaching across 15 states and 33 cities. During these cleanliness drives, DSNDP has engaged 698 volunteers, actively planting 2,0667 trees and collecting more than 1,5875 pounds of garbage and weeds, resulting in significant cost savings for the government.

The organization has received accolades from various state and county governments in the form of 36 certificates and 18 media coverages. The joint effort between Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DRN) and DSNDP signifies their shared commitment to enhancing the beauty of Detroit, progressing one tree at a time.
