Planners operate in a legal environment that is constantly changing. State and Congressional legislation, along with the judiciary’s interpretations of the laws they create, set the parameters of the planning playing field. This online program will provide an overview of the 2024 legislative actions and judicial decisions that will impact Michigan planners in 2025 and beyond.
Speaking at the program will be Jerry Fisher, local government consulting attorney and author of "Local Government Law - A Practical Guidebook for Public Officials on City Councils, Community Boards, and Planning Commissions"; and Mike Compagnoni, Government Relations, Midwest Strategy Group.
