Firms challenge each other to help Flint

Several Detroit-area law firms have stepped up to support the Flint Fire Department in providing safe, clean water to Flint residents in light of the dangerous levels of lead found in the current water supply. Secrest Wardle Senior Partner Nate Edmonds, of the firm’s Troy location, received a direct challenge from Ven Johnson, founder of Johnson Law, to provide cases of water for the Flint Fire Department’s initiative to provide safe water to Flint residents.

All three of Secrest Wardle’s office locations participated in the challenge to provide cases of water and donate funds to purchase water for delivery to the Flint Fire Department. Interdepartmental and Practice Group challenges across Secrest Wardle spurned on the drive for collections. Costco of Madison Heights generously donated 25 cases of water to Secrest Wardle. An ultimate total of 250 cases were collected by the Firm. On Friday, Feb. 5, Nate Edmonds personally made the trip to Flint, and along with local UAW volunteers, delivered water directly to the citizens of Flint.
