The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) chapter of the American Inns of Court hosted its Annual Dinner on Wednesday, May 11, at the Centerpoint Marriott in Pontiac. Among those taking part in the evening were (left to right) retired Judge Bill Richards, Robert Zielinski, Stephanie Fakih, U.S. District Court Judge David Lawson, Laura You, Bill McDonald, Roop Raj, Dan Cieslak, Stewart Weiner, Maxwell Goss, David DeVine, and Oakland County Circuit Court Judge James Alexander. The Inn is an association of lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals of all levels and backgrounds who share a passion for professional excellence. Through regular meetings, members are able to build and strengthen professional relationships, discuss fundamental concerns about professionalism and the pressing legal issues of the day, share experiences and advice, exhort the utmost passion and dedication for the law, provide mentoring opportunities, and advance the highest levels of integrity, ethics, and civility. The Inn is a program that bridges the gap between formal law school education and legal practice by offering career-long continuing education in the Common Law tradition.
