District court discussed

The Oakland County Bar Association’s New Lawyers Basic Skills Seminar Series “Introduction to Practice” began on Thursday, Jan. 5, at the Oakland County Bar Center in Bloomfield Hills.

Taking part were (left to right) Oakland County 47th District Court Chief Judge Marla Parker and Stanley E. Wise of Wise & Wise PLC.

“This is the first presentation of what we call our Basic Skills programs.  There are five of them and the first one is going to be on district court practice,” noted Wise who serves on the OCBA Continuing Legal Education Committee.

Parker and Farmington Hills attorney Barry Brickner (not pictured) discussed practicing in and the protocols of district court with the seminar’s attendees.
