Conference delves into digital revolution of law

"Social Media," "eDiscovery," "Cloud Data," "eFiling"--These are no longer just buzz words for the future of law. They're appearing in judicial opinions, court rules and legislation around the country and the world today. The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel May 2012 Annual Conference brings together some of the most knowledgeable and well-respected judges, litigators and experts to prepare attorneys for the digital age of law and practice. Topics will include electronic discovery, discovery and use of social media, legislative perspectives on data in the law, security and ethical considerations in data storage and communications for attorneys and clients, and recommendations on advising the client in data breach situations, among many others. The program is open to all registrants and will be conducted Thursday and Friday, May 10-11, at the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit.
