Organization seeks area student entrepreneurs
The Detroit Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) will host a local student entrepreneur competition at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club on Wednesday, Aug. 22, and invites area attorneys to nominate deserving students.
"We are searching for talented student entrepreneurs to compete in our local event so that we can help prepare our best and brightest for the EO Global Student Award Regional Competition in September," said Ken Cauley, chairman of the Global Student Awards. "Our chapter will not only prepare the student for the next level of competition, but we will also cover his or her expenses all the way through to the national competition."
Local entrepreneurs will compete against their peers by presenting their businesses to a panel of entrepreneurs and business professionals. All participants will receive valuable feedback from the judges, but only one Detroit student entrepreneur will go on to represent the Motor City at the regional competition hosted by MGM Grand Casino in Detroit in late September. The winners of the 25 regional competitions from around the world will go on to compete for the title of Global Student Entrepreneur Award (GSEA) Global Champion at the New York Stock Exchange in November. GSEA participants will have an opportunity to engage with world-class entrepreneurs, receive great media exposure, win cash, and share in more than $150,000 in donated business services.
