Role of social media in litigation examined

 On Thursday, Jan. 17, the Social Media Committee of the Federal Bar Association (FBA), Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, sponsored its inaugural event: a panel discussion on “The Role of Social Media in Federal Litigation.”  

The event took place at the Auburn Hills campus of Cooley Law School and was co-sponsored by the school’s FBA student chapter and SBA student chapter.  

Topics of discussion included identifying anonymous parties online; overcoming jurisdictional and procedural problems; and understanding discovery, admissibility and evidence in social media.
