Man raps before judge in video court hearing

WARREN (AP) -- A Detroit man accused of threatening to kill his girlfriend used his opportunity before a Macomb County judge to tell his story in a freestyle rap. WJBK-TV reports that Callius Moon rapped about people trying to "put it on me" among other things on Tuesday during his hearing. He was arraigned in Warren district court by video from a city lockup. Charges against Moon include two felonies: malicious destruction of fire or police property and resisting or obstructing a police officer. He has requested an attorney. Moon offered a couple more verses and began to utter an expletive. District Judge John Chmura told Moon "that's good" and the "show's over." Published: Fri, Feb 8, 2013
