Creditors Bar Association hosting spring seminar
The Michigan Creditors Bar Association will present its spring seminar on “Why Compliance Makes Cent$: Best Practices for Service of Process and Proofs of Service” on Thursday, March 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Michigan Education Center, 811 W. Square Lake in Troy.
The Consumer Financial Protection bureau is now regulating legal collections. Compliance and due process are essential to one’s practice. This interactive seminar is designed for process servers, court officers, deputy sheriffs, managers, and attorneys.
The program will feature:
• David Grizzel of the Michigan Process Servers’ Alliance Association.
• Jeff Kirkpatrick of the Michigan Court Officers, Deputy Sheriff, and Process Servers Association.
• MCBA attorney Andrea Enright of Shermeta, Adams, and Von Allmen PC.
• A presentation by Serve-X on technology for Process Servers.
