On Wednesday, March 6, Oakland County Board of Commissioners recognized March as Parenting Awareness Month during its meeting in Pontiac.
Board Vice Chairman Jeff Matis (far left) and Commissioner John A. Scott (far right) were pleased to present a proclamation to the organizations’ representatives (left to right) Mary Schusterbauer, chief of Oakland County Youth Assistance; Rosemary Spatafora, chair of Youth Assistance Family Ed. Advisory Committee and member of Great Start Collaborative; Melanie Torbert, treasurer of Youth Assistance Coordinating Council; and Donna Lackie, Oakland Schools Early Childhood consultant.
