Foundation to host 14th Annual Signature Event

The Oakland County Bar Foundation (OCBF), a nonprofit foundation serving the citizens of Oakland County and the legal profession, will host the 14th Annual Signature Event to benefit Michigan-based law-related charitable causes on Friday, April 19, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Oakland Hills Country Club located in Bloomfield Hills.

“Although we are pulling out of the economic downturn, there is still a dire need among local nonprofits for our support,” said OCBF President Liz Luckenbach. “Last year, we received grant requests totaling $240,693, an increase of $91,557 from the previous year. OCBF is committed to maintaining our community’s law-related programs, and our fundraising efforts through the Annual Signature Event are a critical component of being able to do so for these deserving organizations.”
Since 2002, OCBF has contributed more than $1.2 million to legal assistance and legal education programs. Proceeds from previous events have benefited The University of Detroit Mercy Mobile Law Office, Family Law Assistance Project, Legal Aid Mini Clinics, William Beaumont Hospital Legal Aid for Children and Families, Youth Law Conference, and Seniors’ Law Days.
Tickets to the 14th Annual Signature Event are $150 per person (value of goods & services is $95) and may be purchased at under the “Events” tab or by sending payment to the Oakland County Bar Foundation, 1760 S. Telegraph Rd., Suite 100, Bloomfield Hills, 48302. Tickets must be purchased by Thursday, April 11.
