The program begins with a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m. The theme will be Attracting and Retaining Corporate Clients.
The program's list of panel speakers includes Ron Hall, vice president and general counsel, Bridgewater Interiors; Lois Elizabeth Bingham, vice president, general counsel, secretary, and chief compliance officer, Yazaki North America Inc.; Lance Lis, vice president and general counsel, Inteva Products LLC; Damon White, corporate counsel, General Motors; Alex Parish, partner, Honigman, Miller, Schwartz, and Cohn LLP; and Phil Phillips, partner, Foley & Lardner LLP.
The Corporate Counsel Breakfast Chairperson Courtney Shipp states that the panel discussion will be an opportunity to gain insight into effective means of obtaining corporate clients and what corporate clients require to keep their business. "Through this discussion we hope to foster a greater understanding of how attorneys can satisfy the needs of various types of in-house legal departments thereby improving the quality of legal representation that corporate clients receive. In-house and outside counsels are encouraged to attend the program."
The program is free to members of the D. Augustus Straker Bar Association and $25 for non-members. Checks can be mailed to the Straker Bar Association, 19785 W. 12 Mile Rd., #176, Southfield, 48076.
