Free legal seminar for seniors hosted by OCBA
The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) will host a free legal seminar, Seniors' Law Day, on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the William M. Costick Activities Center in Farmington Hills.
Seniors' Law Day is designed to help educate senior members of the community on different areas of law and to assist attendees in finding answers to their legal questions.
Attendees will choose three informational sessions to attend and will be provided a complimentary lunch. Session topics include: Wills and Trusts, Anatomy of the Probate Process, Guardianships/Conservatorships, Michigan Estate Recovery, and Medical Power of Attorney/Health Directives. A few attorneys also will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to provide brief advice to attendees with personal questions.
