Oakland County's 2014 PROSPER magazine hits local airports in time for holiday travelers

PROSPER, the official Oakland County magazine that spotlights the county as a business and quality of life destination, was made available in Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Flint’s Bishop Airport in time to reach thousands of holiday travelers.

This 100-page free magazine gives a snapshot of Oakland County, including interesting features about the people who live and work here, local communities and the strength of the area’s information technology industry, educational opportunities and international business diversity. There also are features about Medical Main Street® and Emerging Sectors®, the county business retention and attraction strategy.

New to the 2014 PROSPER is a 16-page section of custom photography commissioned for the magazine, “Fifteen Views of the Places We Live,” which features iconic images of Oakland County.

“This is an important business development tool for us as we showcase Oakland County across the region and the world,” County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said.

At Detroit Metro, PROSPER is available in the McNamara Terminal near the information desk at baggage claim in the lower level and near information booth on the main level near the fountains. In the North Terminal, it can be found on display racks near Gate 11.

PROSPER is available in Oakland County libraries, selected upscale hotels, participating communities, suites at The Palace of Auburn Hills and Michigan Department of Transportation Welcome Centers throughout the state. A digital version can be found at AdvantageOakland.com.

PROSPER magazine, published annually, is a partnership between Oakland County’s Department of Economic Development & Community Affairs and Royal Oak-based Hour Custom Publishing.
