Family Law Seminar presented by MAJ
The Michigan Association for Justice will host its Family Law Seminar on Friday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Westin Southfield. The seminar is an opportunity for both novice and experienced family law practitioners to learn from some of the best family law attorneys and judges in the state. Attendees will hear retired Justice Marilyn Kelly's keynote address.
The seminar will cover how to avoid legal malpractice, negotiating your initial client meeting, trial skill tips from a practitioner and trial judge, utilizing techniques from the Peacemaking Pilot Court Program in your practice, and exploring how the Michigan Supreme Court's recent decision in Grange Insurance v Lawrence impacts divorce judgments and custody orders.
To register, contact mlefke@michiganjustice.org, or 517-321-3073, or visit www.michiganjustice.org. Cost is $150 for non-MAJ members, $130 for MAJ members, and $70 for MAJ sustaining members.
