'Avoiding Title Waves' seminar offered by OCBA on March 4
The Probate Estate & Trust Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) will present "Avoiding Title Waves: How to Recognize, Analyze, and Resolve Common Title Issues Prior to Closing" on Tuesday, March 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Oakland County Bar Center, 1760 S. Telegraph Rd., Suite 100, in Bloomfield Hills.
Speaking at the seminar will be John Shepard of Reputation First Title Agency. Moderating the program will be Rachel H. Tucker of Joelson Rosenberg PLC.
Topics to be discussed will include "How to read and analyze a title commitment," "Resolving outstanding liens and their statutes of limitations," "Resolving matters of ownership," and "Tools and skills to resolve title issues." A question and answer period will also be offered.
Pre-registration cost is $30 for OCBA members, $20 for OCBA new lawyers, and $40 for non-members. An additional $10 will be included for those registering at the door.
