Section covers court receiverships

 The State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section hosted “MCR 2.621 and 2.622: The New Playing Field for State Court Receiverships” on Tuesday, June 10, at the MSU Management Education Center in Troy.  

Effective May 1, 2014, the Michigan Supreme Court amended MCR 2.621 and MCR 2.622 which significantly change the process for the court’s selection of the receiver, qualifications, appointment, duties, compensation, and administration of receiverships.  

The seminar explained the new rules and procedures along with providing a view from the state bench on receiverships.
