Judge to address Polish American Legal Society
The Polish American Legal Society (PALS) will host its next monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m. at Polish Village Cafe, 2nd Floor, 2990 Yemens Ave. in Hamtramck. The guest speaker will be Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Richard L. Caretti
Caretti graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wayne State University in 1975. He then graduated from the Detroit College of Law in 1979. While attending college and law school, he served as a Detroit police officer. Caretti was in private practice for 23 years. He was a partner with the law firm of Strobl, Cunningham, Caretti, & Sharp prior to being appointed to the bench in 2002. Caretti has been elected twice to six year terms. He is a member of the Macomb County Bar Association and Italian-American Chamber of Commerce.
