Labor and Employment Law Section hosts Spring-Board event

The State Bar of Michigan Labor & Employment Law Section will host its annual Spring-Board seminar at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, at The Reserve at Big Rock Chop House, located at 245 S. Eton St. in Birmingham.

Spring-Board will feature an hour-long panel presentation followed by a series of roundtable discussions and an evening of networking and drinks and hors d’oeuvres. This year the seminar will review “The Expansion of Civil Rights Protections Based on Sexual Orientation and the Impact on the Workplace.”  Presenters and discussion leaders will include the Michigan attorneys litigating the U.S. Supreme Court case on same-sex marriage and the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission’s historic case alleging sex discrimination against a transgender individual.

The seminar costs $50 in advance of May 29, and $60 at the door. Drinks, hors d’oeuvres and valet parking are included in the cost of admission.
