State Bar of Michigan Taxation Section honors Wayne Law grads

Kiefer Cox and Brent Farago, who graduated Monday, May 18, from Wayne State University Law School, were selected by faculty to be honored at the recent State Bar of Michigan Taxation Section annual meeting.

Each year, the section awards the outstanding tax students from each of the law schools in Michigan for “Excellence in the Study of Taxation.” Professor Linda Beale, Associate Professor Susan Cancelosi, and Distinguished Professor Alan Schenk selected Wayne Law’s winners who received their honors from Marjorie Gell of the Taxation Section during the meeting Thursday, May 21.

“Both students have permanent jobs after they take the bar exam this summer,” Schenk said.  Cox will be working with accounting firm Deloitte US, and Farago has been hired by the law firm of Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer, and Weiss.
