Firm collaborates with Community Dispute Resolution Program Centers

Resolution Services Center of Central Michigan (RSCCM) is pleased to announce a mediation/pro bono collaboration between the law firm of Dickinson Wright PLLC and the 18 Community Dispute Resolution Program (CDRP) Centers in Michigan.

This collaboration will allow attorneys at Dickinson Wright, who are trained mediators, to perform pro bono work under the guidelines of the firms’ pro bono committee, while donating their time as mediators to Resolution Services Center of Central Michigan, and the other 17 dispute centers throughout Michigan.

The Community Dispute Resolution Program was established by statute in 1988.  The dispute resolution centers throughout Michigan provide mediation services to the communities they serve, in a wide variety of subject areas including civil law, domestic, elder law, and special education.

Mediation and conciliation services provided by the centers give individuals, businesses and attorneys a means to resolve disputes that are alternatives to the judicial process.

The Dickinson Wright law firm, which was founded in 1878, has more than 400 attorneys working in over 40 practice areas.  They have 15 offices in seven states, Canada and the District of Columbia; with Michigan offices located in Ann Arbor, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Saginaw, and Troy.

Resolution Services Center of Central Michigan (RSCCM) is a non-profit organization that provides affordable conflict resolution services to Clinton, Isabella, Gratiot, Ingham, Eaton, and Shiawassee Counties.

Dickinson Wright supports several pro bono projects for their attorneys and RSCCM is proud and pleased that they have chosen the CDRP Centers as one of those projects.
