The 2015 Midwest Securities Law Institute, presented by Michigan State University College of Law and sponsored by the State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section, will take place Friday, October 16, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Michigan State University College of Law Building, 648 N. Shaw Lane in East Lansing,

The Midwest Securities Law Institute brings together legal and financial industry minds to examine current issues in securities, broker-dealer, and investment advisor regulators from the State of Michigan.  This is the only program in the state that has representation from the SEC and FINRA.

Subjects include:

• Developments in Broker-Dealer and Investment Advisor Regulation.
• Securities “Transaction” Hot Topics.
• SEC Enforcement Update.
• LARA Regulators on the New Proposed Rules for the Revised Michigan Securities Act.
• Strategies with Emerging Growth Companies.
• Securities Litigation Developments.
• Securities Arbitration Developments.
