Federal judge, newspaper to be honored March 10

The third annual Patrick Henry Event, otherwise known as “The Henrys,” will take place on Thursday, March 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Community House in Birmingham.

Sponsored by the Patriot Week organization, the event commemorates the anniversary of Patrick Henry’s “Give me liberty, or give me death!” speech, and will feature an appearance by actor Christopher Lowell portraying Benjamin Franklin.

The 2016 event honorees will be U.S. District Court Judge Avern Cohn and The Detroit Free Press, which will be represented by Editorial Page Editor Stephen Henderson.

Tickets cost $50 per person, and can be purchased online at www.PatriotWeek.org or by mailing a check payable to “Patriot Week Inc.” at P.O. Box 7590, Bloomfield Hills, 48302.
