Two accused of assault sentenced to prison

PONTIAC (AP) - Two men accused of assaulting a suburban Detroit man with cerebral palsy and recording the attack on the victim's cellphone have been sentenced to prison.

Court records show that Shadeed Bey and Nikey Walker pleaded no contest to charges including assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. Bey was sentenced Tuesday to between 8 years and 20 years, and Walker received 6 years to 20 years.

Bey told the court: "I'm sorry for what I did."

Authorities say Bey beat the man on Nov. 29 at an apartment building in Pontiac, while Walker recorded the attack. Investigators say the 20-year-old men posted the video on the victim's Facebook page.
