The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association hosted its annual Corporate Counsel Breakfast on Friday, April 15, in the atrium of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Taking part in the event were (front row, left to right) Straker Director Mikai Green, Breakfast Chair Courtney A. Shipp, Kimberly Ward, and panelist Tamira Chapman of Ford Motor Company; along with (back row, left to right) moderator Boyd White III, Straker President Aaron Burrell, Randal Brown, and panelist Gerry Hargrove, former General Motors general counsel-Middle East and Africa and Southeast Asia. “We try to bring in-house counsel and outside counsel together to talk about relevant issues in the profession,” Shipp said of the annual event.
