Joe Papelian, a longtime attorney for Delphi Automotive Systems, recorded his first hole-in-one, carding an ace May 20 at Springdale Golf Course in Birmingham. A past president of the Oakland County Bar Foundation, Papelian used an 8-iron to tame the 131-yard par three sixth hole at Springdale. Papelian was playing in the regular Friday afternoon FT (Fight True) golf group, a collection of mostly legal types who include various distinguished members of the bench and bar. His ace was just the third in the history of FT action.
