Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library subscribes to new database

The Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library is pleased to announce it has acquired a subscription to the Fastcase® legal research database. Attorneys and members of the public now have free access to this new research tool on any computer at the library.

The Fastcase® database is the quickest growing product of its kind in the legal research market today. Through its unique sorting technology and analytics, the most authoritative cases are brought to the “top of the list” in online search results. The database also simultaneously reports how often those top-listed cases were cited. Fastcase’s visual mapping also enables researchers to target—at a glance—the most
important cases for their needs. Content covers primary law from all 50 states, as well as comprehensive federal coverage from the 1880s to the present.

“The Law Library is very excited to be able to add Fastcase® to its menu of databases,” said Laura Mancini, director-library services. “The Law Library is always looking to enhance its research offerings for the legal community and Fastcase’s mapping features make it distinctive from other legal research databases in the library’s collection. Attorneys and paralegals who wish to learn how to use this new product should not hesitate to contact library staff for training assistance.”
