'Global Business Coming Local' seminar offered June 23 in Troy

Presented by the Small Business Forum, Business Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, the “Global Business Coming Local – Helping Foreign Business Locate in Michigan” seminar will highlight the legislative and regulatory environment as they relate to foreign businesses locating in the state. It will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, at Columbia Center, 201 W. Big Beaver Rd. in Troy. 

The speakers and subject matters include:
 
• Tony Vernaci, vice president of Global Business Development, MEDC – “How the MEDC Assists Foreign Direct Investment in Michigan”

• Michael T. Kulka, founder & CEO, PM Environmental, Inc. – “Brownfield and Economic Incentives Relative to Commercial Real Estate”

• Timothy J. Hilligoss, CPA, Clayton and McKervey PC – “Tax Considerations for US Inbound Investors-Capitalization and Structure, Added Tax Compliance, and Tax Planning Opportunities”

• Alexander Lebedinski, Giarmarco, Mullins, and Horton PC – “EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program-Road to Green Card Through Direct Investment in the U.S.”
