DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Historical Museum is presenting a history of the Michigan Humane Society as part of a new exhibition.
The display will be on view in the museum’s Community Gallery now through Oct. 9.
The exhibition explores highlights from the organization’s history, from its founding in 1877 to the recent opening of its Detroit Animal Care Campus.
In addition to facilitating animal adoptions, it operates a major veterinary practice and a free Pet Food Bank. It also responds to animal cruelty complaints.
