Firm honored by coalition

The Oakland County Health Division recently hosted the 2nd Annual Breastfeeding Friendly Place Awards presented by the Oakland County Breastfeeding Coalition in partnership with the Oakland County Health Division’s Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. Oakland County pediatricians’ offices, employers, and businesses that implement steps to support breastfeeding mothers were eligible for the award. Secrest Wardle representatives Linda Willemsen, Marketing Coordinator, and Christine Larson, Marketing Assistant, attended the event and accepted the firm’s Nomination Certificate. Secrest Wardle provides firm employees with a supportive breastfeeding policy and provides a comfortable, private location for mothers to breastfeed or express and store milk. The Oakland County Breastfeeding Coalition provides breastfeeding support, networking, and other opportunities among community members and professionals. Partners of the coalition include Oakland County Health Division, St. John Providence-Providence Park Hospitals, St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, Crittenton Hospital Medical Center, Michigan Breastfeeding Network, Black Mothers’ Breastfeeding Association, and Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency.
