Secrest Wardle recently took part in the Troy Police Department’s initiative to assist the Vedanta Study Circle of Detroit and Bharatiya Temple’s school supply donation drive, which in turn supported Communities In Schools of Metropolitan Detroit in providing school supplies to students in the Metro Detroit area. Each Friday, Secrest Wardle sponsors a “Jeans Day” to raise funds for a multitude of both local and national charitable organizations.  Employees may make a donation to wear casual attire on Fridays.  Funds raised on August 26 were dedicated to assist the Troy Police Department in their endeavor to collect school supplies for this initiative.  Christine Larson (center), Secrest Wardle’s marketing assistant, led the firm’s effort in collecting donated supplies and shopping for backpacks, writing and paper supplies, along with many other school-related items.  Russell Barrows (left) and John Julian of the Troy Police Department’s Community Service Section collected the donated items from Secrest Wardle’s Troy office. Also helping to load the items was Linda Willemsen (right) of Secrest Wardle.
