For Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Oakland County 46th District Court Judge Debra Nance (second from left) was the featured speaker on Monday, Oct. 10, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Southfield. Nance spoke on “Domestic Violence: The Effect on Victims, the Effect on Children, and What the Courts are Doing to Help Save Lives.” Taking part in the program with Nance were (left to right) Dr. Toni Grant of New Hope’s Biblical Counseling Ministry, Lindsay Garascia of HAVEN, and Jeffrie Cape of Charron Services’ HEAL Program.
