Oakland County Circuit Court announces changes for 2017

Oakland County Circuit Court Chief Judge Nanci Grant announces the following changes to the Family Division of the Circuit Court:

• Judicial changes

Judge Joan E. Young will retire effective at noon on January 1, 2017.  Judge-Elect Victoria Valentine will take office at noon on January 1, 2017 and assume the family division docket currently assigned to Judge Young.

• Courtroom changes

Judge Daniel P. O’Brien has moved to courtroom 2H as of December 22, 2016.  Judge O’Brien and his staff will retain their current telephone (248-858-7960) and fax (248-858-5493) numbers. 
Judge-Elect Victoria Valentine will be located in courtroom 2F effective January 1, 2017.  Judge-Elect Valentine and her staff will retain the telephone (248-858-5282) and fax (248-452-9220) numbers currently assigned to Judge Young and her staff. 

• Docket changes

Probate Judges Linda Hallmark and Elizabeth Pezzetti will no longer have family division dockets effective January 1, 2017.  Their pending cases will be reassigned to the circuit judges in the family division.  For more information about reassigned domestic matters, check Court Explorer at: https://courtexplorer.oakgov.com/OaklandCounty.  For more information about reassigned juvenile matters, contact the Juvenile Intake Office at 248-858-0112
