People's Law College offered by OCBA

The Oakland County Bar Association presented a free People’s Law College program on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the Ferndale Public Library. This free event is designed to help educate members of the community on different areas of the law and to assist attendees in finding answers to their legal questions with first-hand insight from local attorneys. A free Ask-a-Lawyer session was also held for the duration of the program. Participants had an opportunity to talk one-on-one to an attorney and receive brief advice and counsel regarding their personal questions and concerns. The attorneys were able to discuss topics including juvenile, family, bankruptcy, probate, criminal, general civil, and landlord/tenant matters. Among those taking part in the event were (left to right) Tracy Feliksa of Kemp Klein Law Firm; Lisa Kirsch Satawa of Kirsch, Leach, & Associates; Sayeda Davidson of Burgess, Sharp, & Golden PLLC; Barry Brickner of Barry L. Brickner Attorney At Law; Kelly Bidelman of John Yun PC; Brenda Murphy of Family Law Assistance Project; and Elliot Parnes of H. Elliot Parnes PLLC.
