Criminal defense topics to be explored at OCBA

The Oakland County Bar Association and the Criminal Defense Association of Michigan will present a half-day seminar on some of today’s most important criminal defense topics.

“CDAM at the OCBA” will take place Thursday, Oct. 5, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the OCBA?offices, 1760 South Telegraph Road, Suite 100, in Bloomfield Hills.

Topics will include:

• “SORA: Doe v Snyder Implications for Past and Current Clients” presented by Anne Yantus, University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
• “Michigan Law Updates” presented by Kathy Swedlow, Michigan Assigned Appellate Counsel System.
• “Forfeiture Update: Changes in the Law” presented by Arthur Jay Weiss, Arthur Jay Weiss & Associates PC.
• “Drugged Driving” presented by Michael Nichols, Nichols Law Office PLLC.

This conference has been approved for 4 CLE credits for attorneys taking criminal appointments.

Pre-registration fees are $80 for OCBA or CDAM members (electronic materials only); $70 for OCBA or CDAM new lawyers (P75866+), paralegals, and students (electronic materials only); and $100 for non-OCBA or CDAM members (electronic materials only).
