Inn of Court chapter gathers

The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) chapter of the American Inns of Court hosted its Annual Dinner on Wednesday, May 9, at Plum Hollow Country Club in Southfield. Among those taking part in the evening were (left to right) Joe Papelian of Papelian Law Office PLLC, Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Martha Anderson, Dan Quick of Dickinson Wright PLLC, Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Elizabeth Gleicher, Jim Derian of Michigan Arbitration and Mediation, and Sheila Garin of the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.  The Inn is an association of lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals of all levels and backgrounds who share a passion for professional excellence. Through regular meetings, members are able to build and strengthen professional relationships, discuss fundamental concerns about professionalism and the pressing legal issues of the day, share experiences and advice, exhort the utmost passion and dedication for the law, provide mentoring opportunities, and advance the highest levels of integrity, ethics, and civility. The Inn is a program that bridges the gap between formal law school education and legal practice by offering career-long continuing education in the Common Law tradition.
