Law school to recognize honorees Sept. 12

Wayne State University Law School will celebrate the newest inductees to the Wayne Law Alumni Wall of Fame on Wednesday, Sept. 12. The legal community is invited to join from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights, 471 W. Palmer St. in Detroit. The honorees are Ernest Goodman, ‘28 (posthumously); retired Michigan Supreme Court Justice Marilyn Kelly, ‘71; Elliott Hall, ‘65;  David Hempstead, ‘75; and Michael Pitt, ‘74.

The Wayne Law Alumni Wall of Fame Award is the highest honor presented by the Wayne Law. This distinction is awarded with great care to alumni who have distinguished themselves through outstanding contributions to their field.

The Sept. 12 event is free to attend. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served. Parking is $8 (credit and debit cards only) in Parking Structure No. 1 across West Palmer from Wayne Law.
